The IEA-ETS Research Institute (IERI) is organizing an online Academy on assessment designs, and the use of Item Response Theory (IRT) and population modeling in large-scale assessments.
The goal of the Academy is to familiarize participants with the topics related to assessment designs and IRT, and enable them to use commercially and freely available software to conduct appropriate IRT analysis and generate proficiency estimates or plausible values.
There will be five two-hour sessions held in alternate working days, 11, 13, 17, 19 and 21 January. All sessions will be held at 11 am GMT. Shortly after registration, you will receive an MS Teams meeting link that you can use to join each of the sessions.
Participants of the Academy are expected to have knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and need to have their own computer to access the session and videos over the internet, and to carry out the hands-on training exercises. Demonstration versions of the software for the hands-on training will be distributed to the participants during the Academy. Spreadsheet applications such as Excel, and statistical software such as SPSS, SAS or R will be useful, but are not required.
The Academy will be limited to 30 participants. Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Register via the link with an early bird discount until 11 December 2021.
