ICILS 2023 Country Recruitment

With country recruitment for ICILS 2023 in full swing, IEA is delighted to share that we are seeing more countries interested in the study than ever before.

Currently there is interest from Austria, Azerbaijan, Chile, Chinese Taipei, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Republic of Korea, Latvia, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation (Moscow), Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, United Arab Emirates and Uruguay. We thank the European Commission for their support with country recruitment within the Euro zone, whose contribution to international participation fees for ICILS 2023 has been a big support.

Following a successful Informational Session hosted by IEA for Gulf State countries, we are also seeing interest from Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates to participate in ICILS 2023. A further Informational Session for the Asia Pacific region is in the planning stages.

ICILS 2023 will address a question of critical interest today: How well are students prepared for study, work and life in a digital world? Participating in ICILS will provide countries with reliable, comparable data about young people’s development of 21st century CIL skills. The study helps countries to monitor their own national targets regarding students’ digital competences and also provides information for monitoring progress toward the UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The first National Research Coordinator (NRC) meeting for interested countries will take place next week and it is still possible for countries to sign up by reaching out to a.netten@iea.nl! For more information about the 2023 cycle please visit the link below.
