WERA (World Education Research Association), IEA (International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement), and the Research Center "LiDS" (Literacy in Diversity Settings) at the University of Hamburg are pleased to announce a call for the 2023 WERA Visiting Research Award.
This award enables visiting researchers to develop their own research projects while benefiting from the individual support of experts from the partner institutes working in different fields related to international large-scale assessments, especially with a focus on diversity in education.
The research visitor will be co-hosted by IEA Hamburg and the University of Hamburg, both located in Hamburg, Germany. Both institutes cooperate in different research projects. The researcher will get an opportunity to spend time at both institutes during their six weeks visit period.
Awardees will receive a grant of € 3,500 to cover their travel, stay, and other subsistence costs during the visit. The host institutes will assist with locating affordable housing.
Research proposals should correspond to the host organizations' research activities and study data. Early-stage researchers and experienced researchers engaged in educational research from all nationalities are welcome to apply. All applicants must hold a minimum master's degree or an equivalent degree.
The deadline for applications is 1 April 2023.
