Translation Technologist

The Translation Verification and International Quality Control Team seeks a pro-active Translation Technologist who possesses strong organization, planning, and communication skills. Candidates must have a strong understanding of machine and generative translation models and experience with integrating Computer-Assisted Translation tools into translation processes. 

The team manage key aspects of the quality assurance procedures for IEA's renowned studies, TIMSS, PIRLS, ICILS, and ICCS. This this role will lead the development of new translation and translation verification processes to further modernize IEA's approaches. 

This role will be based at IEA's office in Amsterdam.

Unit Coordinator: Research and Analaysis and Sampling Units

An opportunity to work with two of IEA's key units in a varied and supportive role has arisen at IEA's office in Hamburg. The successful candidate will support the Unit Heads in the day-to-day coordination of the teams, provide administrative support to projects, maintain project timelines, and plan external and internal workshops that IEA offers. Candidates must have outstanding interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, and be fluent in German and English.

Deputy Study Director for IEA's International Computer and Information Literacy Study

The use of ICT is integral to all aspects of daily lives. IEA's ICILS helps education systems understand how digital literacy is planned, resourced, and implemented and how contextual factors influence and relate to student learning. IEA seeks a candidate with impeccable organizational and communication skills and sound research and statistical abilities to support ICILS's existing Study Director. This role will be based in either Amsterdam or Hamburg.
