With considerable sadness, IEA notes the passing of John “Jack” Schwille, an IEA Honorary Member and valued contributor to the field of educational research.
The newest edition to the IEA Compass: Briefs in Education series looks to explore how two of IEA’s flagship studies are being used to shape national reform efforts, drawing on self-reported insights from over 130 participating education systems.
The 67th meeting of the IEA General Assembly was held in Warsaw, Poland, from 03–08 October 2026. Thank you to our host, the Educational Research Institute (IBE).
The 12th IEA IRC will be taking place between 23–25 June 2027 at the Department of Education of Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand, and will be preceded by pre-conference workshops on 21–22 June 2027.
