ECER 2024: Contributions

ECER 2024 will be taking place in Nicosia, Cyprus from 26–30 August and IEA is delighted to have an active presence.

The theme for this year’s ECER is Education in an Age of Uncertainty: memory and hope for the future. ECER 2024 will explore key issues, trends, successes and challenges in educational research and seek to examine how these might assist us in addressing current and future needs, challenges and opportunities. There will be special celebratory sessions to commemorate and acknowledge EERA’s 30 years of service in educational research.

IEA will have an active presence at ECER in symposias, workshops, and paper presentations. IEA colleagues can also be found in the exhibition hall.

Ana María Mejía Rodríguez, Mojca Rozman, and Rolf Strietholt will present a paper on A Systematic Literature Review of ICILS Research.

Sabine Meinck and Ana María Mejía Rodríguez will run an ICCS 2022 workshop.

Ana María Mejía Rodríguez, Alec Kennedy, and Rolf Strietholt will also present a paper on COVID-19 Containment Policies and Grade 8 Student Civic Outcomes.

Additionally, IEA and Network 34 (Research on Citizenship Education) will host an evening of networking, appetizers, and drinks. This reception is an opportunity to celebrate the recent releases from and future cycle of IEA's ICCS (International Civic and Citizenship Education Study), as well as the establishment of EERA’s Network 34.

The networking reception will take place on Wednesday, 28 August at the University of Cyprus from 17:30 to 19:00, following a joint symposia on ICCS delivered by Network 34 and Network 9 (Assessment, Evaluation, Testing and Measurement).
