TOSCAneo

TOSCAneo (Transformation of the Secondary School System and Academic Careers) researches the effectiveness of the upper secondary level at vocational high schools. The aim is to gain insights into students' learning progression until they reach the age to go to university. The focus here is on the learning starting points of the students when they reach the upper secondary level and their development within the entry class.

The study is a representative, longitudinal survey with initially three measuring points (at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end of the 2023/2024 academic year), which is planned in such a way that a subsequent survey at the time of the high school graduation is possible. The study will be supplemented by an online survey of school leavers from vocational high schools.

The study will be conducted comparatively at around 90 vocational high schools, 30 general high schools, and 12 interdenominational schools in the upper secondary levels in Baden-Wuerttemberg.

Further information can be found at the University of Tübingen and in the University of Tübingen's research database.
