About R&D
As part of IEA’s mission, we aim to advance research and innovation by actively promoting research projects and activities. In 2021, the IEA R&D Fund was created to improve the science and methodology of IEA studies, ensuring that they remain at the forefront of ILSAs (international large-scale assessments) in education. IEA has awarded 23 total projects with funding across four calls for R&D proposals. See the outcomes on the R&D webpage

The deadline for R&D proposals is Monday, 15 September 2025 at 13:00 CEST.
