Another successful year for the Large-scale Assessments in Education Journal

In 2024, the Large-Scale Assessments in Education (LSAE) journal, a publication co-funded by IEA and the International Education Research Institute (IERI), achieved a milestone with a record of 44 published articles. This marks the highest number of articles published in a single year, reflecting the continued growth and impact of the journal.

In addition to this achievement, the journal received a 5-year impact score of 4.2 and reached an impressive 418,000 downloads in 2023. We were also pleased to welcome three new associate editors: Kajsa Yang Hansen, Daniel Miranda, and Corey Savage.

All submissions undergo a rigorous review process, with initial suitability checks by experienced editors followed by blind peer review for articles that meet our criteria. LSAE is indexed in SCOPUS and earned a CiteScore of 4.3 in 2023. The articles featured in LSAE utilize data from a wide range of national and international large-scale assessments, such as TIMSS, PIRLS, ICCS, ICILS, NEPS, NAEP, PISA, PIAAC, and more.
