The IEA Academic Visitor Program offers researchers an opportunity to develop their own projects while benefiting from the individual support of IEA experts in international large-scale assessments.
Academic visitors join the RandA Unit at IEA Hamburg, typically for between one week and two months (extended visits may be arranged on request). Visitors will be provided with an academic mentor and will receive expert support with specific research queries. Academic visitors are expected to work on their own research project using IEA data and they are encouraged to initiate a collaboration with IEA staff. This may result in a publication, such as this recent paper using TIMSS data published by our academic visitor, Jihyun Lee and staff member, Minge Chen.
IEA accepts applications four times per year. The next cycle of applications closes on 31 December 2019. Please visit our academic visitor page for full submission details.
