Giving Back to Teachers with IEA Teacher Snippets

Teachers are essential to the work of IEA. The studies that IEA and National Study Centers conduct would not be possible without the teachers who participate and provide information that in turn, supports IEA’s mission to understand education practices and improve student learning worldwide.

IEA Teacher Snippets are short, peer-reviewed, open-access publications that highlight international and country-specific findings from IEA studies, spark conversation, and connect research with practice. The series highlights national and international comparative findings from IEA studies, providing practical, country-specific information for teachers to use in the classroom and are available for adaptation for national use.

IEA is delighted to announce the release of IEA Teacher Snippets at the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Annual Meeting to give back to teachers, providing evidence-based contributions to in-class activities.

The first editions of the IEA Teacher Snippets series are now available. Discover the first Snippets in the link below.

Between April and June, IEA will be releasing publications connected to giving back to teachers. This will include further IEA Teacher Snippets, including the extended Snippets XL, and the brand-new IEA Research for Educators book series, whose aim will be to provide practical information for teaching based on IEA study datasets. On 2 June 2022 at 10:00 CET, IEA will release the first book in this newly developed book series, titled Putting PIRLS to Use in Classrooms Across the Globe, in partnership with Expertisecentrum Nederlands.
