This year, the Bruce H. Choppin Memorial Award for an outstanding thesis goes to Dr. Saskia van Laar, and the Richard M. Wolf Memorial Award for an outstanding paper was awarded to Dr. Stefan Johansson.
Dr. Saskia van Laar received the Bruce H. Choppin Memorial Award for her PhD thesis, Null Baseline Modeling Approaches with Applications in International Large-Scale Educational Assessments. The thesis explored two applications of null baseline model comparisons.
The Richard M. Wolf Memorial Award went to Dr. Stefan Johansson for his outstanding paper, School bullying: Prevalence and variation in and between school systems in TIMSS 2015. This study explored how school-related factors influenced bullying rates, and provided a cross-national analysis.
