IEA and the TIMSS and PIRLS International Study Center at Boston College are delighted to announce that process data from the PIRLS 2021 digital assessment is available in the open-access IDB for researchers to use in SAS, SPSS, and R formats. The process data, student achievement data, and contextual data can be accessed here.
PIRLS 2021 marked the transition to digital assessment with approximately half of the participating countries evaluated students using a state-of-the-art digital assessment with simulated online projects with multiple websites, videos, and navigational features such as links and pop-ups.
