Strengthening Ties for Stronger Research: IEA Professorship

Dr. Nagy addresses an audience at the General Assembly.

We are pleased to announce the successful appointment for the newly established professorship at the University of Hamburg, marking an important step in furthering the long-standing collaboration between IEA and the university.

The application process began in January 2024 and the vacancy attracted a number of excellent candidates. After careful consideration, we are excited to announce that Prof. Dr. Gabriel Nagy has been selected for this prestigious position.

The successful candidate will engage closely with the IEA’s Research and Analysis Unit, collaborating on joint research projects related to international school-performance assessments. We look forward to seeing the exciting contributions Dr. Nagy will bring to this partnership and to the field of international educational assessment.

Further information about the Professorship can be found in this year’s IEA Insider.
