In recognition of his outstanding dedication to IEA as GA Representative, member of the Standing Committee, and IEA Chair, Dr. Thierry Rocher was elected as an Honorary Member of IEA at the General Assembly Meeting held in Tbilisi, Georgia, 28 September–03 October 2024.
Dr. Rocher is the Director for Evaluation at DEPP at the Ministère de l’éducation nationale in France. He is a specialist in educational measurement and psychometrics, sharing his expertise with IEA since 2011. Elected as IEA Chair at the 59th General Assembly meeting in 2018, Dr. Rocher has demonstrated that he is a committed and strong leader for IEA who has expertly steered the organization through unprecedented challenges and a time of growth. He has been instrumental to the inception of IEA’s Research and Development Fund that has awarded 16 research proposals since 2021 under the mission of advancing research and innovation.
