Education practitioners can work through the ICILS modules to gain a better understanding of the assessment and the questions that were asked of students. The four modules which test Computer Information Literacy and Computational Thinking skills are available.
This IEA Teacher Snippet is based on data from ICILS (International Computer and Information Literacy Study) 2023 and can be adapted by all countries that participated in ICILS 2023 by translating into the national language and including the national data. ICILS is the only international large-scale assessment that focuses solely on digital literacy education and provides measures that can be used to monitor changes in students’ digital literacy achievement over time. The students who participate in ICILS are commonly in their 8th year of schooling.
