Students, globally locate and use digital information from internet sources, how can they evaluate the accuracy, fairness, and relevance of the accessed information? 63% of teachers who participated in ICILS 2023 internationally reported that they need more professional learning to help them support students' skills to evaluate the reliability of information online and 68% of students internationally reported that they learned how to evaluate the reliability of information on the internet outside of school. This Teacher Snippet provides classroom examples that may be used to develop students' information evaluation skills, which form part of the essential skill set essential to having strong digital literacy competencies.
