Nearly 60 countries around the world participated in PIRLS 2021, the fifth cycle of IEA’s PIRLS since its inception in 2001. PIRLS 2021 International Results in Reading presents findings collected from data from about 400,000 students, 380,000 parents, 20,000 teachers, and 13,000 schools.
