Education Resilience and Transformation | Evidence for Recovery

On 24 January 2022, in connection with the United Nations’ International Day of Education, UNESCO and IEA will publicly release the Responses to Educational Disruption Survey (REDS) open access International Report and International Database. REDS yields first-hand, internationally comparable data from countries spanning four continents on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on secondary education.

Join UNESCO and IEA in an interactive online session, where a first look at the REDS international findings will be presented. Additionally, representatives from countries participating in REDS and education experts will form a panel to highlight country perspectives and discuss key findings around four thematic areas in the context of educational disruption:

  • Impact on teaching and learning
  • Academic progress
  • Teacher and student well-being
  • Preparedness for future disruptions
