The IEA IRC-2019 is a three-day conference, beginning on Wednesday, 26 June 2019 and ending on Friday, 28 June 2019. Pre-conference workshops on secondary data analysis will be held on 24–25 June 2019.
Registration for the conference and the workshops is now closed. All payments must be completed through the online system before 1 June 2019. We cannot accept any cash or credit card payments at the door.
Venue: The conference and workshops will be held at the Department of Education, Campus Emdrup Copenhagen, Building A, Tuborgvej 164, 2400 Copenhagen, Denmark. Please do not go to the city of Aarhus where the main University is situated, this is in another part of Denmark.
The conference will include ample time for discussion and informal interactions between junior and senior researchers from all over the world, to ensure a lively exchange of ideas. Each day of the conference features a keynote lecture and parallel sessions and symposia, giving participants access to a range of topics in educational research and assessment. Each session will include several presentations organized around themes related to one or more of the IEA's projects (such as TIMSS, TIMSS Advanced, PIRLS, ICCS, CIVED, ICILS, SITES, and TEDS-M), learning and teaching practice in international education, methodology and analysis in large-scale assessment, or the policy implications of research. A poster competition introduces an alternative forum for interaction with the wider research community.
The social program will include a welcome reception, providing an opportunity for attendees to make and renew acquaintances in a relaxed setting. For detailed information on the pre-conference training opportunities, see the section on workshops.
