TIMSS Longitudinal

TIMSS continues to demonstrate leadership and innovation in comparative international assessments by introducing an optional international study of student progress based on TIMSS 2023. The TIMSS 2023 Longitudinal Study (TIMSS-L) is an optional extension of TIMSS 2023 that explores student learning gains over one year of schooling. This study is designed to measure growth in student achievement by assessing the sample of students assessed in TIMSS 2023 one year later when the students are in the fifth and ninth grades.
